As a little experiment, I hired a bunch of writers on Fiverr to write short stories based on my comic piece "The Best Way To Have Lobster For Dinner" and decided to share three of my favorite pieces with you all. Here's the third: “What does lobster even taste like?” Matthew bounced the container with his legs. The container was made of white styrofoam. Here's the second: It was a very hot day in the middle of summer, the little boy trots in his house happily looking for his mother, who was currently behind the kitchen counter, awaiting his return. The mother greets her son with a warm hug as he walks through the door and asks her son, “Hey there, champ! What do ya want for dinner? Here's the first: “We’re having lobster for dinner tonight!” Finley was skeptical of his mom’s announcement of tonight’s menu. He even paused his video game just to make sure that the blasting sounds from his first-person shooter game didn’t cause him to mishear her. “Lobster?” he asked. “Mom, are you serious?” “I’m real serious,” his mother, Misty, responded from the kitchen’s entryway, wearing a grin that almost stretched across her whole face. “I finally got that raise my boss promised me and I thought, hmm, what better way to celebrate than to prepare a fancy seafood dinner for me and my favorite son.” “I’m your only son,” Finley replied. It was the Hunting season, a great time to get out and bathe in the warm air, surrounded by trees and all that mother nature had given for an occasion such as this. The Hunter, bold, strong, and filled with such high standards. He grabs his tools of choice and sets off. When he arrived, his energy grew evermore when he stepped out and ran vigorously into the deep dark forest. Holding his Rifle in hand, he wasted no time, zooming to and passing trees until he had found the spot where he would hide every year. He Loaded his Gun and waited. These woods were the perfect place for deer to show, nine out of ten, there was usually one or two deers -maybe ‘four’ if lucky- that would come into the area, completely unaware of what was to happen to them next.
